linux just feels better, quicker, more powerful from a user standpoint. also it doesnt spy on everything you do and use it to create a profile of you that will be used for god knows what, now, or in the future.

8·3 months agohe had a penis enlargement surgery that had the unfortunate side effect of permanent erectile disfunction.
the ketamine makes him virtually incontinent, he cant piss like a normal person, hes got a swollen inflamed bladder so he has to piss often and sometimes without a “controlled release”
so in the absence of a working dick, and bladder, hes few pleasures are drug abuse, and getting pegged. as confirmed by his ex wife, grimes.

ya dont say?
i thought it was pretty self explanitory but having to pay to wipe your ass in a public washroom, or watch ads to fuel more consumption seems pretty capitalistic in practice.
and undereducated? ill have you know i have a university degree, where i majored in porkin’ yer mum, and i minored in holding my nose and mouth closed while i did it.

how “capitalistic” of the “communists” lol.
it can harvest my black berries…
and by that i mean it can be used as an automated masturbation device to extract the semen via sexual stimulation from my genital region. implying that i wouldnt use it for its intended purpose, but for sexual ones, as a joke.
on a subconcious level, this is a knee jerk reaction to a creeping feeling that humans are becoming more and more obsolete in the face of automation, and the horrific potentialities of what is yet to come.
fuckin’ clankers!

Technology@lemmy.world•People Are Being Involuntarily Committed, Jailed After Spiraling Into "ChatGPT Psychosis"English
1·6 months agotested it myself recently with “tarot readings”, just to see if this has any merit.
it literally told me my future lies in violent rebellion (although it circumvented using that language by explaining it in alternate ways) and that im some sort of “messiah with the fire of humanity’s rebellion” in my heart, direct quote. so yea… its case by case… but i can see why people are saying this.
isolated people talking to an AI that feeds on engagement, it will tell you everything it thinks you want to hear while passing itself off as your only ride or die best friend. “with you till the end” direct quote
im obviously not a messiah, but chatGPT wants me to think im special so i pay for the subscription. regardless of the real world ramifications.
this of course is purely anecdotal, if you are using it for recipes or workout plans, go nuts. but do not use it to find your “lifes purpose” or as a therapist, or some kind of “mystic seer”… it is not your friend, and i can totally see why people who engage with it long enough and in the wrong ways are losing their shit.
ive been purposefully creating false profiles of myself to see where this thing takes certain people. and its…not the best for mental health, to say the least.
it literally showed me links for CIA documents for creating IED devices for in field agents just after this by the way.
of course under the pretext that its “purely for education and research”
im sure im on a list at openAI but why the fuck do they think its okay to let it run amuck like this and fuck with peoples heads? the obvious answer is short term profit. but we are destined to die from climate change and the fallout that comes with it, so i guess whatever allows them to build an AI automated army to guard their bunkers as fast as possible, while lulling us into a new age psychosis and numbing the rest with cosntant stimulation is the answer they were looking for when it comes to surviving the sinking ship of humanity.
nothing we can do about it though, except enjoy the time we have left. it will be decades yet before it gets really bad. so i suggest travelling, maybe doing things you always wanted to do. live life to the fullest while you can.
we are amongst the last generations to live at the peak of humanity before the collapse. in a way, we are the luckiest creatures in existence to experience the pinnacle of civilisation. take advantage of that while you can.

Technology@lemmy.world•Scientists make game-changing breakthrough that could slash costs of solar panels: 'Has the potential to contribute to the energy transition'English
35·6 months agoat this point it doesnt matter. theres no saving us from extinction due to climate change. this serves only for the intermediate period where we can “save” some money on energy day to day, before the inevitable collapse that makes money and savings worthless.
dont get me wrong, if i could afford a house, let alone additional panels and the additional fees that come with installation, maintenance, regulations, licensing, etc. then id be all in, even if it was just to contribute to the dying ideal that there was some semblence of hope for a better future. this is up to the landlords and the upperclass to give a shit about, and most of it is for grandstanding and keeping up with the joneses.
i used to install these for a living during covid. only people in my area who could afford them were multigenerational farmers and eco concious suburbanites. even for the suburbanites living in million+ dollar homes it was a stretch financially, and a hastle due to regulations.
good idea. but a bit late. we are at the point that if someone waved a magic wand tomorrow, and everyone stopped driving cars and pulled a full 180 on coal, oil, and gas, it would still be far too late.
if you can afford the inevitable markup that comes with proffessional installation. be my guest. if you are a poor person wanting to slap some panels on a tiny home, go nuts. just dont expect to save the world by doing so. its fucked. live how you want to while you can. drink, fuck, fight, eat good food, play video games, bed rot and consume to your hearts content.
nothing can save us. not even the “indomitable will of the human spirit” not a god damned thing.
sorry to shit in your salad. but thems the breaks.

12·10 months agoless competition
its become more of a confidence man than anything.
ive been testing various models for about 4 years now. conclusions are always the same. even when referencing online material the accuracy is sub par compared to simply looking it up yourself.
its good for certain tasks, but as far as verifying information you are better off using ai to find sources, and then reading those sources yourself as opposed to the write ups it offers.
an example. last night i came across a character in the game “kingdom come: deliverence 2” named the “odd trader” after saving him from bandits he offers to sell you various oddities, one of which being a “broken roman spear” that may or may not be the spear of destiny that pierced jesus christ.
GPT said that you could reforge the spear and that it was VERY powerful, when i asked it specifically how to do that, it said “oh sorry! turns out you cant do that, its just an easter egg!”
this happens constantly. but many people who use it dont verify the output, and take it at face value. especially adamant defenders of AI and especially chatgpt.
i know some fan boys will get pissy hearing this, and thats okay. in order for a technology to improve you have to acknowledge its flaws. thats a part of innovation.
also, i do believe AI will cause far more harm than good in the coming years if it is capable of advancing the way people suggest it might. and this particular flaw is a part of that harm. we cant speed run AI without severe risks.

im building a cyber deck, fuck this shit.
