As someone similarly unfamiliar with Linux I’ll say I just made the move as well a few weeks ago and haven’t had any issues so far! Ive even started playing with wine and lutris to get games working, with a little tweaking I was even able to drag the files of an already installed game from Windows over to Linux and then get lutris to run it. I was pretty surprised to see it worked lol

Hey this is kind of interesting since I just met up with my friend who works for Intel today for his kids first birthday and he was telling me about this issue and how they’re trying to get him to be part of a related team (not specifically related to Linux) on top of his other responsibilities…

He went on at some length describing how absolutely absurd the whole structure was of related systems and how it’s a miracle any of it works lol

I honestly kind of hate that I grew up in the 90s… Born mid 80s and was old enough in the 90s to have my childhood engrained with this idea that the future was all progress from there on out. Then the 2000s come along with a big ol’ middle finger and it’s just been fascists all the way down and economic decline from there. :/

I was thinking about that this morning in regards to Ukraine to be honest. We in the US NEVER do something because it’s the right thing to do, we do it for business interests. Trump made that more clear with his demands for a minerals deal in writing for continued military assistance in the war against Russia. Any other administration would “know” continued access to those minerals was implied with Ukraine retaining its independence.

I can’t stand that this piece of shit gets to dictate what most of the world does in their own fucking countries… It’s bad enough he’s fucking us in the US…
