  • I just meant that the other languages I once learned, I don’t know anymore. :D Its been such a long time since I used them at all, I can understand some individual words if I read them, I can say “my name is ____” and “hello” in those languages but thats about it.

But yeah, I know how to speak my native language and English, thats two, so its technically correct that I know “multiple” languages :D

  • I use Freetube. Its a app, you don’t sign in, you can subscribe to stuff but those are stored locally (as I understand it?), adblock, sponsorblock, hide shorts etc are built in. Of course since you don’t use it with a account, you can’t comment, but that’s just a nice bonus feature. You can still read the comments if you so choose. Because it doesn’t load all the trackers and bullshit, its also about a billion times lighter than the youtube page, which is nice since my laptop is 700 years old and struggles to run anything, really.

It does have “popular” and “trending” pages but those rarely work, another nice bonus.

The only downside is that there is no “sort by popular” option when browsing a channels videos. But all in all, highly recommend it. Apparently there are other such apps available but thats the only one I’ve used.

  • I got tired of the new games being shit and/or not done when. I think last game I bought new was No Man’s Sky (yes I know, its decent now, I still play it sometimes), after that disappointment I just gave up. I haven’t been paying attention on whats coming, whats the newest big game… I just play emulators. I play the games that I wanted to play when I was a kid, but couldn’t. My gaming journey started with Amiga 500, then I got a NES, after that a Game Gear, then a Play Station 1. So I’ve been gaming a lot of SNES stuff lately, I downloaded a bunch of Atari titles. Sega games are next on the list.

Theres so much to play, I will die before I run out of stuff. I think I’ll never buy a new game ever again.

  • Same. I remember how everything seemed amazing and the future was exciting, you never knew what the next big and amazing thing would be. Then the next big amazing thing turned out to be facebook, google, advertising and personal data harvesting and after that everything has been complete shit.

But thats why the internet revival thing, is a thing. Thats why the amount of IRC users have started to go up. Thats why more and more people are looking into self hosting things… I’m all for that sort of stuff.
