Oh no! Not the nipple of the wrong gender!
This is good advice, but I would add having a bootable Linux distro on a usb, and using more and more until you find yourself not needing Windows, then move to Linux with just it or a dual boot configuration with Windows as a fallback
One important thing to remember is the that battery capacity is unlikely to improve anymore, we should mostly improve charging, lifespan, safety, etc.
I doubt that we will ever see batteries that have much more capacity per weight than what we have now.
I don’t think that’s scapegoating, that’s just cutting costs (which they are great at, judging by the quality of their CPUs)
Honestly, having a huge window that is also a TV sounds great.
Want some natural light and a nice view? Got that window.
Want a nice big TV? One click and the room darkens and you get a huge screen.
Weird word choice, I get the point but they are presenting it all wrong by calling it ordinary or simple.
Don’t over think it, start small, a home server. Then add stuff, you will see that it’s not that crazy.
I personally have just one home server that locally creates encrypted backups and uploads them to backblaze.
This gives me the privacy I need as everything is on my server that I own while also having the backups on a big reliable company.
It’s not perfect but it fits my threat model
Firefox kind of sucks in android though and there are no good forks imo, but this is also true for chromium so idk what to do.
Lol
