Or maybe it’s not pretense at all, but simply people choosing how they want to spend their time. Making bold assumptions about other people’s motivations is easy, but also error-prone.

No, its quite pretentious to pretend that everyone wouldn’t use Reddit nor RSS feed it. There’s always going to be some people using both.

You seem to be in some mood for keyboard warrior acting and I’m not. So I’ll leave it at this.

  • Ah might be true but that’s also quite pretentious to act as if Lemmy users ‘never use Reddit’. Because some communities from there never really migrated to Lemmy. For example majority of the book subs, didn’t (therefore RSS feed).

I’ll keep this post up and see if someone might help. The downvotes don’t mean anything here anyway. Just found it a bit funny in a certain way.

Anyway thanks, I’ll look into what you linked.

  • ALREADY POSTED!

It doesn’t matter whether you or someone else already posted it. Happens often that something gets posted multiple times because of how Lemmy works.

Nobody else is posting my cat. Lots of people posting this news. It’s redundant and old already.

And to directly comment your other comment. How should one know it is your particular cat and not a cat picture that’s taken from the internet? Not that, that even matters.

The other commenter just said that, I guess because your comment is redundant and not necessary. You posted it or seen it before? Okay, fine. Scroll past it or hide it.

    It’s redundant and old already.

To zoom in on this, it is actually not redundant and old for other people. Perhaps for you yeah, but some people might not have seen your particular post and will see this one.

  • Unfortunately and sadly doesn’t surprise me anymore. All big platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube, Pinterest and such) are allowing hateful stuff towards Palestinian people.

However when someone criticizes Israel government and their genocide. Your comment, video or anything else gets removed within A day. Even if it is not even related to the entire thing.

I have a Pinterest account and have a Palestinian board and it got twice removed for “hate speech” while it shows nothing of hate. Merely Palestinian things such as flags, clothes, people and such.

It’s pretty obvious that social media as a whole is just a corrupt mess.
