I don’t understand why people want immutable. I don’t know all that much about Linux but on my Steamdeck it keeps getting in the way anytime I try to do anything

This is a big one. Google taxes 30% off all payments on apps from the play store and now they have to lower it to compete or lose customers.

I know people here are gonna say it’s not enough and while I agree, I still want to celebrate that a positive change has been made at all. Especially at a time where side loading is starting to be cracked down on.

I disagree, swappable battery > power bank.
Used to have a swappable battery. It was great, you could have like 3 of em and instantly be able to get back to 100% without having to be attached to a cord. I wish I could do the same for my SteamDeck now, it would be great :'(

Overall phones have been getting chunkier, larger too. I dislike the size, but like the added battery life from the thickness is nice. My pixel 8 is perfect in both regards for me :)
Edit: just saw the sub. Don’t really know a lot about apple phones specifically.

+1, where I live they made phones during school hours illegal. Literally NOTHING changed it’s just that if they want to they can get people in trouble.

Thats not what I was saying. I didn’t even read their message, I was just pointing out the funny name

So, self hosting is complicated. Everyone in this comment section has had tons of experience with it. I tried Plex, failed. Jellyfin, didn’t connect. Entire OSes on a raspberry pi, didn’t work.

I don’t know your situation but for me giving up and just keeping it stored on my phone and manually updating is good enough.
