Seconded rustdesk!

Seconded rustdesk!

We didnt have one for a long time.
Then we got one for free. So we use it for movies and some gaming together, but we dont have any streaming subscriptions.
I agree it’d be better to not have. But im into old console gaming so I like to have a couple tvs.
Its good to balance it with reading and exercising of course! But movie nights are fun.

My work/manager has the best possible way of managing: get your work done, dont make drama, work as little or much as you need. We have to try to get 45 hours but almost no one does or they pad their timesheet. But then there’s weeks you travel and work 60 hours (but its actually work not wasting time)
Works great for people like me who are useless from 1 pm to about 3 pm, but really able to get a lot of work done from 5 to 7 ish. Unless youre missing meetings, no one cares where you are. I could go to Hawaii tomorrow with my laptop and do the exact same work I do now.

One of many

Fm here is solely nazi conservative rage and stadium ai country. Hell to the no. Oh and “Christian rock”. I envy those of you with good radio. Its been dead here for 20 years.
Npr is the only station ill listen to.

Don’t worry, we are all on win 11, its already a virus xD I cant stand it.

Oh yeah id never try to circumvent it, thats dumb. Im good friends with all the IT guys and I help them with certain issues sometimes (a lot of them follow the IT rules but arent really tech people if that makes sense)
But if I can have a solution that we just access on our nas via web browser, that’d be fine.

Yeah i do already have that but they want more music than that

Well the work laptops block websites too if they arent corporate. Amazingly the archive is completely unblocked. Anything gaming related is blocked.
I think access through the nas would work best.

Yeah exactly, I wouldnt install it on there anyway because it would block it.
I think the nas route is the way to go.

Its the age-old “new good, old bad!” Thinking of unintelligent people. Theyre unable to realize when something is just good.
Like a non-javascript web page. My friends think I’m on the dark web if I send them something that isnt off of corponet with shiny beveled buttons with shadows and shading.
Not saying the opposite either; guis are fine if theyre well designed and use words instead of meaningless symbols. But a lot of them arent well designed.
Also, for dyslexic people the terminal is a big challenge, near impossible.

I hate llms, but honestly some sort of local one that wasn’t trained on the orphan crushing machine thats integrated into the terminal could really help people. But I dont think it needs to be an llm. Just a cleverly coded lookup program like fish or tldr. Something where I can type “audio” and get settings for audio to show up with brief explanations so I can troubleshoot.
I myself forget commands a lot and have a notepad file (that I made an alias for so I can open it super fast from terminal) . But most peolle find this batshit insane that youd have to do that in 2026 and i get made fun of a lot. I myself like the simplicity.

Problem- humanity is stupid and lazy, and parents dont teach their kids any better because they dont know how.
There’s no solution. It will be idiocracy mixed with running man in about 10 years, probably less.

Everyone at my work hates SharePoint. No idea why we have it when we have actual servers that work far better.

They will put a stop to this by jacking up prices of hdds insanely high. You will have no choice. Hdds dont last long, and they are being made with worse quality every year.
I guess we can figure out how to chain together 40+ 500gb hdds somehow…

Xbox 360 started off as shit when it didnt have backwards compatibility. Scummy. Not that sony is much better but their BC is unmatched.

This is why all internet connected devices all the time is bad. It only leads to this. Should be focusing on how to do things offline as much as possible.

Don’t forget american nightmare. Really good!

Thats a good deal! It looked like it was $60 now…
Yeah makes sense. I just get an ick reaction to most of those super fantasy games, like the FF games which I avoided forever but did start playing FFXIV and I do enjoy it most of the time, its just so many names and places and game mechanics to remember. I also play probably 20+ different games a week, very rarely do i ever play 1 game at a time.
Also, to me any game around 2010 era is still brand new lol. 2017 may as well have been just released xD
Yep id agree youre right.
This proves all billionaires are evil, abhorrent scum.
