Edit: I was mistaken. Back in 2023 it was said that the heat of the ps5 could cause an issue with the thermal paste and with it being vertical there would be cooling issues. I do not have a place for my ps5 to be vertical so I never kept up with the issue. I went to look for an article about the issue, but all I found today was stuff safe it is safe and was a non issue.

I like it a lot. The initial move was predicated by working in the entertainment industry and all the shows coming through our theater needed qlab.

But after that I started using it for personal use. I was unable to move my photoshop cs6 license over because I have been unable to get a copy of it in 64bit. But I have since switched to affinity. It has a steep learning curve, but I mostly use it for graphics for my shop so it does what I need it to do.

Before getting my MacBook Pro I was doing most of my gaming on my ps5, so I am not missing a lot there. But most of the games I do play are available on the Mac (No Man’s Sky, FF14, Palia, mudlet, Apico, Mudborne).

When I connect a monitor it works, when I connect a TV through my 4x4 matrix it works.

Wdym with linux can be broken?

Linux mint kept harassing me to install the official drivers for my wireless card, so I did. It broke my ability to use WiFi.

I told Linux while in presentation mode I did not want the screen to sleep, it took that as sleep after 5 minutes.

Every time the laptop sleeps/restarts my screen resolution is borked, half the time the correct resolutions are not available and I have to disconnect all my monitors, restart, then connect the monitors.

Most solutions I hear are use a different distro, learn command line, you should not be using Linux if you cannot fix this stuff.

That is what i mean when I say Linux can be broken.

As attorney general, Kamala Harris would not have personally prosecuted drug cases. Local district attorneys would generally prosecute such cases so to say Harris “put … people in jail” as state attorney general is not accurate.

Not if there is a federal agent. It is legal here in NM but the feds are constantly seizing pot because it is not legal at a federal level.

I have tried the same name, different name. Two of the albums ended up with only 1 image each. So I removed him from those. Now I am left with the one that is a pet profile and the one that appears to be a person that I can convert into a contact. And to make things more fun, some images have them both in it.

I pay for Office, partially so my parents can use it and partially because it’s just a better set of programs than any of the FOSS equivalents.

Years ago I switched from MS OfficeXP to Open Office and then to Libre Office. For years I lamented how I missed Excel and the Libre Calc just does not cut it. Then I started working for a university in 2017 and I had to install MS Office on all of our laptops for presentations, I was so excited to have Excel again. Boy was I wrong. Libre Office was so much better, as was the entire suite. Maybe it is just familiarity.
