Love Keepass. Love that I can sync it however I want. Love that there are multiple open source client options across several operating systems.
Same account options as yours here on mobile, marketing is also off for me.
Thanks for comparing notes!
I don’t even see this option on my account. Old Canadian account, but my phone/Paypal app is EU.
Only Apple product I care about. God, the Android tablet market is so shit. I miss the Nexus line 😞
There’s a lot of implicit assumptions about me and my ego in your reply by grouping me with some nebulous group of “childish”… tech privacy moralists?
You’re right, people should take a step back from their devices…
I would love to be a subscriber if Google could guarantee that they won’t take my viewing information and then sell it to other advertisers or data brokers, or use that info to push ads on behalf of those brokers in other Google products.
As it stands now, why would I pay with my money AND my data? Google shouldn’t get to double dip.
Ooh, you may be right. I also don’t have that set up.
I can’t read this without subscribing, and I have no idea how to opt out.
It might be because I’m drunk, but Trump-posting from “lemmy.packitsolutions.net” is genuinely hilarious. It’s giving Four Seasons Total Landscaping.
It clearly isn’t lower risk considering the state of polarized politics in America and other western powers after the advent of Cambridge Analytica (which Facebook barely faced any consequences for btw).
Tiktok is a boogeyman, and Meta, Twitter, Google, whatever other social FAANG-adjacent platform you use, wants you to focus on them so that they can keep milking you for your data, while simultaneously feeding you ads and radicalizing political content directly targeted to you.
So I reiterate, we need better data protection and regulation laws for ALL social media.
It is political, because Meta does the exact same thing you have quoted, and they aren’t getting banned.
We need stronger data protection laws, period.
Didn’t they say they removed it because there were homophobic comments under a popular BL anime? A situation that could have easily be solved with a moderation system (which I know they had because they removed comments with external links).
I guess they didn’t want to ban bigots with subscriptions.
Listen, not to generalize a large group of people… but Irish-Americans are a strange bunch. The mix of Catholic guilt and American exceptionalism I have experienced in that demographic of my friends/classmates is definitely something I think about more than I probably should.
Sorry if I was unclear, I meant that you should be voting down ballot for people that are vocal about putting pressure on the higher ups, or have the power to put in local reforms that have cascading effects to a wider state/national level. Your state representatives, your municipal councils of government, your schoolboard representatives, a lot of places have those elections tied to presidential elections, and low voter turn out hurts a LOT because those are less gerrymandered and more likely to swing progressive if more people turn out to vote.
Many people think that voting for the “right” presidential candidate is how things change, but there is just too much money concentrated at the top for it to ever happen post-Jimmy Carter. They will always more likely be milquetoast centrists to outright fascists, depending on the party.
Of course this is all my opinion.
Biden is a self-admitted Zionist, isn’t he? It’s not a pejorative to him, or any establishment politician. It’s ironic considering Ireland and the Irish people have been vocally calling it a genocide since the beginning.
Still, there are more proponents of a ceasefire on the Dem’s side than the Rep’s, especially down ballot. If the Dem’s capture both House and Senate, there might be enough noise to actually pressure towards a ceasefire. Go vote.
Yep, that’s what everyone I know with Apple devices have always done. I used to have a Nexus 7 (rip) and an iPhone, and the prices on the App store were always higher than the prices on Android Market (rip).
I’m wondering why it’s being pointed out now by everyone, but I’m not gonna complain if it leads to some sort of price parity regulation across platforms.
Real talk, can this be a class action?
…why is this the first comment on an 8 month old account? Weird
I would like colourful phones back though, they were so much more fun compared to the sea of black/white/grey + ONE option in the blue-purple spectrum we have today.
Can we get that AND bigger batteries?..bigger colourful batteries even?
